The Cuteness is PAINFUL!

My Gawd, we make beautiful children.

I guess the saying is true. Pretty people make homley babies; Homley people make....

Stinky Pete

This year at the fair Daddy was in charge of picture-taking. Raegan was finally old enough to toss onto a horse so we located the nearest Stinky-Pete and tossed her on. ( yes, that is the horses name.) She had SUCH fun! She giggled and cried "again" the whole time, so we ended up getting quite a long ride as the folks running the show thought she was mighty cute. Which she is.

Meanwhile, Kael made a stinky-pete of his own.

15 Minutes of Shame

OK, the problem isn't that there is poop on the floor...although good golly gawd, there's POOP on the floor! That isn't a problem because I can tell that her diaper was carefully removed before the pooping happened and we are beginning to potty train.. so it's a good thing she knows before she poops that she's gonna poop. Plus she came up and told me it had happened. We will gloss over the part where I brush her off as she has been saying poop all the time recently, and yucky is usually somewhere in every sentence now-days. No, the problem is that it appears as if the poo was..... snacked on a bit. A wee little poo snack.

The dogs are outside for the rest of the day.

G'Morning

It's 5:50 and Raegan is awake. Really awake. I fill a sippy with milk and cuddle her out of her crib;
"Mama Hold You." taking her back to my bed in a desperate attempt to lull her back to sleep.

"Mama ni-night. Mama sleep in Mama's bed. Raegan sleep in Mama's bed. Here's your boo-ie, drink. Raegan ni-night."

I close my eyes. All is quiet for several minutes. Then, softly, I feal a little hand.. petting my head. Smoothing my hair away from my face. Slowly I open my eyes and see my little girl laying next to me softly staring back. I reach up and smooth her hair off of her face, pet her head. Close my eyes. Back comes her little hand... softly stroking my cheek. Petting my face. Then her tiny hand stills...

"BEEEP!" she yells as she squishes my nose.

Good morning Goofball.

The Healthy Looking Girl with a Car Bib

"You look nice today." the strange man at the 7-11 says as he lines up behind me and my pile of junk food.

"Thank You." I reply.

"Yeah, I need to get me a healthy looking girl."

".......?"

*********

"Oh, you got sauce on your shirt again." Matt says on the drive home from Seattle.

"What, AGAIN?" I reply.

"Yeah, we need to get you a car bib.. you know, like those pocket bibisters? Then when you drop food you can catch it and eat it too."

"..........?"

**********

"Oh, I have some clothes for you." My mother says as I visit with her in Portland.

" Really? That's great!" I reply.

"Yeah, I have some pants and shorts that are too big for me now."

"............!"

***************************

So... that's me. The healthy looking girl with the car bib wearing her mothers fat pants. Yep.

Here's the surprising part.... I am actually pretty OK with that. I know some day I'll be back to a normal weight, but that day certainly isn't today.. tomorrow isn't looking good either.
