We're trying to maximize our time together and spend more time outside this summer, so we've begun our summer Saturday Adventures! Last week we went to Tumalo State park, which I haven't done since I was a tiny mite. It was beautiful and I *will* remember to post the pictures! This week we went to Three Creeks Lake and Campground. Quite possibly the most beautiful place in nature I've seen. No luck fishing at the lake ( and I'm really the only one that wanted to, anyway) and EATEN ALIVE by mosquitoes so thick it's hard to breathe ( giant fail, BullFron Mosquito Coast!) but the views on the hike were just BREATHTAKING. Tons of fun... till my camera broke. The glass thingie inside the camera body just.. fell out. Dammit. These are the few shots grabbed before I started bawling, lol!

Tubbin

Years of daydreaming, weeks of prep, and all of a sudden it all just fell in our lap. Super duper crazy awesome deal on a tub that's just perfect for our family. Delivered Thursday, awesome electrician that cam out and stayed here past 11pm getting all the wiring perfectly done. Took our first dip last night, the kids had their first dip today after a hot day at the Children's Festival at Balloons Over Bend ( pictures coming!) I feel so grown up, lol!!

A Soft Mothy Morning

Kael found this big moth in the grass this morning that was on it's last natural legs, and it spent it's last few hours on this earth being the "BEST PET I COULD EVER THINK OF!!!"
Four hours. It sat on his hand or shoulder or arm for FOUR HOURS, all of which he spent being quiet and calm so as to not scare it off. Amazing. Then suddenly it fell off and landed on it's back, most decidedly dead. Alas. We all got over it quickly but that moth should know that there was actually a moment of tears at it's passing, something I'm betting very few moths get to experience.

Biddy.

This is my idea of the perfect morning... a good cup of coffee to finish off an exciting Friday night puzzle-fest. I actually woke up bright eyed and giggly at 6am looking forward to spending my morning thus. My twenty-three year old self is LAUGHING her ASS off right now.

7-Eleven

Free slurpy day does not necessarily mean one should consume a free slurpy.

It makes some children ever so slightly insane.

Turns out Kael is one of those people.
