So Many Fish in the Sea, Think I Found Some Keepers

Today was the last day of swim classes for the summer. Raegan and Kael are doing SO well!! Raegan is actually SWIMMING ( a little... more swallowing the pool then swimming, but she is so close!) and Kael is learning to relax more and more. I think I'm going to continue lessons this winter. It's good for them, and they LOVE it! And it's something they can do "together" while still focusing on their individuality. Raegan is in the level 3 class, and Kael in level 2.

Sweet

A gift from my Jaymee... and lunch.

I'd Like to Make A Speech

It's not a political statement, it's a protest. Mr. Crawdad did NOT like being pulled out of the water. But dang did we enjoy doing it anyway!

Monkey Toe

That's MY Mama!

Training clinic of Team USA for the races in Prague next week. Mama is the dark blonde in the red tank-top on the left. You ladies gave me chills watching this video, I only wish I could see you from the banks... you must be FLYING accross the water!

I am so proud of you Mom!!!

Big Thanks!

It's been in the yard for years, but Kael just seemed to notice the basketball hoop yesterday. I added the extension this morning and this video was taken three hours in to the fun... still going strong. Big fat thanks, Aunt Alyca and Uncle Ethan! I may have to send him up your way some summer for basketball camp!

Raegan and Kael have finished their first session at swim lessions, and boy oh boy are they excited! I'm thinking swimming will become a regular activity for these two. They LOVE it. Love. Raegan is *this* close to a long term back float, and Kael is really getting comfortable and starting to relax in the water. The absolute funnest day was when the kids got to mess around with the pool noodles. Of course, this was also the one day I didn't bring a camera. But the kids were SO ADORABLE!! Raegan is VERY comfortable in the pool, she has no problem just hanging on to that noodle and kicking for all she's worth to make it move... sprinting underwater. Most of the other kids had a hand on the instructors arm as they walked around the pool area, slinging kids around and getting them used to floating and kicking to move; they looked like a pile of duck chicks toodling around after Mama. So. Cute.
Neither of them passed the skill levels in this class, They have to be able to confidently do a back and front float for a good several seconds. But I'm thinking that Rae will after the next session... Yep! They're doing back to back sessions, starting again on Monday! I am having so much fun with this! And Matt has been able to come every day too, so it has been neat to share this kid-blossoming time with him.

tired?

Oh right! The fair!

So, on the hottest day of the summer my little family went to the fair, and apparently I was so hot brain fried that I forgot to put most of the fair pictures up. Ahem. So here they are, only a week +/- late!
