OK, your house is on fire. Your spouse, children, pets and photographs are all safely out on the lawn and there is just enough time to run in and grab ONE more thing before it all goes down in flames.... what do you grab?

Bright Baby Boy Boo-ie
Well..... Kael's first boo-ie's were, if you recall, made of crepe backed satin. Ugh. Mistake. It snagged SO easily! It was decided that they'd have to be replaced. He kept getting his fingers caught in all the thread snags. A quick trip to JoAnnes got me this GREAT "Hey Diddle Diddle" fleece and some yellow FLANNEL back satin to make a NEW boo-ie! I LOVE IT! It is much larger then his infant boo-ies and is SO soft and comfy! And! And! it has RED blanket binding!! A good boo-ie always has red binding.

Spotty Tot
Good Lawd, can this child GET any sicker? Today I rushed home from my part-time gig at Opal Springs to find my wee little girl sporting a not so wee case of the spotties. Lucky for us it ISN'T chicken pox as we first feared and is instead a lovely RASH caused primarily by her reaction to the mega doses of meds she's taking for the Periorbital Cellulosis! Not contageous.. also NOT fun! Her WHOLE body looks like that.. face, feet, hands...

She's OFF those meds and ON some treatment for the spots. Sheesh! And lucky for me, Great Grammie has decided to come into the office tomorrow to "cover" me and I get to stay home and trim my daughters fingernails. She itches. A lot. Gonna miss the paycheck, but really, the little one needs her Mama so I'm glad I get to stay with her. THANK YOU GRAMMIE!

The Soothing Scent of Fish Pootie Poo
The lounge chair by the fish tank has become a favorite sleep spot of Kael's. It could be the soothing sound of the air pump, or the gasterointestinally friendly angle of the chair, or the proximity to the action in the house, or a combo of the bunch. Who knows.. all I know is the only reason I slept at all last night was because of this chair, and I'm gonna keep the ol' broken down thing just because of it's magical sleep properties.

YAY, Sears finally came through! We had a photoshoot a few weeks back and none of the pictures turned out that well, which is a bummer because it was Raegans "birthday" photoshoot and Kaels 1st photoshoot.... so all we bought is this big framed set! It has the best of the family shots and close-ups of the best of the kids. I LOVE it, and may have to budget in one for each successive Sears session!

Up Up Up!
The loaner toy till Miss Payton is done with the exersaucer.... Kael LOVED it! Surprise surprise... so did Raegan. She "showed" Kael how to work all the buttons and lights.. and he managed to pick up a few of her cues as not long after he was rolling that big ball in the middle all on his own! SO neat to see him playing and interacting with people and things! He is growing SO fast!
