Devout Visitors

We've had quite a few of these little giants visit us over the last few weeks, and every time I'm freshly delighted. Which is weird, because I really am NOT a fan of bugs. Apparently weird looking bugs are fine by me. The kids agree, a visit from a Praying Mantis is a treat for us all!

Because They Smell Good

This girl was in LOVE.

Matt has a buddy from work that trains horses as a side gig, and she invited us out to see some of her projects. The kids used up a whole bag of carrots, the horses were well treated, and I got to sniff that fantastic horse smell all my nose could hold.

Time to enroll someone in some lessons.

This one was fun to make! I was trying to figure out how to make double banded without it looking like you were just wearing two bracelets. I think this style may be my favorite that I've done so far.

Saw these frog beads and just HAD to have them! Lampwork beads are just magic, I can't imagine the time that goes in to crafting each and every one, it's not like it's something you can mass-produce.

Okay, the stars are just awesome. And I love this green/purple combo... in fact, I took this bracelet to the HomeDepot paint shop to get some paints for the laundry room, lol~!

Rae's first day at the big school... she ran off, happily excited to begin her school career. Her mama stood outside the school doors peeking in at her and blubbered at the beginning of her babies' school career. It's a big first step away from Mama and how life has been for us the last 6 years. Not sure how I'll handle next year when she's gone all day.

Kael was pretty tickled to go back to school today. He has grown SO much in the past year, it's just crazy. Of course it didn't take him any time at all to refresh on the school schedule, so tomorrows first full day is eagerly looked forward to!
