Nine Monthity Months

Whew! Finally got Kael to his 9 month appointment! He's sitting right over 22 pounds, which is pretty sad. The Ped guessed he lost around 2 pounds when he got sick which is a lot for such a little guy! He's in the 55th percentile for weight and the 98th percentile for height, with his head at 98th percent as well.
We FINALLY, FINALLY got his reflux dealt with. He's got a prescription for Prevacid and so far it seems to be working! No spit up in 2 days and he only woke up 3 times last night, which is a marked improvement over his usual every 90 minutes. So big YAY for sleep! He's cruising right along in the mobility department, literally. He wants to go go GO all the time. He's stood up alone a few times, and once, he was playing with Raegans Hippity Hop ball and stood up balancing on it, then held onto the handle and picked it up. It was a perfect counter balance for his weight so he just stood there, dumbstruck, in the middle of the floor holding up this ball for a good minute or so till he sat oh-so-carefully down. It was mighty cute to see! He's holding his own sippy cup now and feeding himself at meals, although I feed him as well since when he does it more of his meal ends up in his lap and up his sleeves then in his mouth. He likes Macaroni and Cheese & Yogurt , although not at the same time. He's still nursing like a champ, 3-4 times during the day and 2-3 times at night. I'll tackle that hurdle later, just working on getting him full of FOOD more often. He still refuses a bottle with any type of milk in it so we'll keep with the nursing till he can drink cow milk at a year.
Welp, that's the update on the little man! Growing away from me right in front of my eyes!

Glad you guys got something to help with his reflux and hopefully soon you'll be getting a full night's sleep!

Woo hoo! Be glad he is growing away from you, my five-year-old told me today that he wants to be a baby and wants to be in my tummy. His dad thought it was very funny, I just thought it sounded painful.

And icky.
