Super Cool Dude

Kael's big present, an incredibly awesome three wheel "big wheels" type bike! He is SO in love with this thing! It's a little bit big for him but he's an awkward size, all the things appropriate for his age are just too small but he's just a bit too short of leg to move up completely. He's been having a hard time coordinating his left and right side for big actions, common for boys, and his bike was just frustrating him. With this big trike he doesn't have to concentrate on the balance of motions as much and can spend more time just having fun!

Someone Had A Big Day!

My tinest little man is FOUR today! He had such a blast, but this mama is wiped out. I can't believe how much he has grown, but he'll always be lap sized for me.
Here's a sneak, full story and pics tomorrow.

A Hot Mess

So we had zero intention of bringing anyone home today. We just wanted to love on a few puppies and think about the what-if's in life. And on the way out the door, after a nice long puppy playtime of fun at the Redmond Humane Society, we stopped by the cattery. We'd already visited with the kittens and intended to give some of the "older folks" some love as well on our way out. And then he saw HER. And she saw HIM. And they snuggled. It was love at first sight.

Meet Hooter, Matts new girl friend. She has big wide eyes like an owl, and owls hoot. Or it's an easy way to save man-points for the man that totally puddled out and brought home a cat, so a psudo-man-joke name is appropriate. My vote was for Lois.
She's at least 2 but very petite, and a right proper and controlled ragamuffin of a lady. She meets up with the groomer tomorrow for a nice bath and trim down as it's obvious whomever had her before us didn't give a rats arse about caring for her. Muppet is happy with her and she with him. She is dainty and accepting of Squeaker ~ who wants to rip her heart out and eat it still beating. Fingers crossed the girls come to some kind of understanding soon. The kids are enchanted and Raegan is pretty sure her name is "fat fluffy cat". Kael is adorably soft, and she seems to really like any and all people attention, so that's good.

Good lord, we have another pet.

First Session, Raegan

Rae is doing SO well.. despite her lackluster teachers. There are two instructors for the three kids, and one of them is a bit of a lump, the other much more bouncy but less... instructor-y. Yesterday we had a substitute teacher and he was FANTASTIC and finally it all clicked for her! So awesome to see her working so hard to master these skills, and dang cute to boot! I'm keeping her in the same skill level all summer so that she can really be ready for the next step up this fall, but I'm thinking swim may be the *thing* for this girl! We even bought her a swim cap.. it was mostly to keep her hair from getting so hopelessly tangled up in the water since she's such a poof about getting it brushed, but it has turned out to be a great investment for class as she's not spending half her time brushing her hair out of her eyes. Even in a pony tail it would plaster it's self to her face and interrupt her concentration. Bonus being she feels mighty fancy with it on & we smear her dry hair with conditioner to get the cap in place so when she rinses off after class she has the softest healthiest hair!

Apples to Apples

While the other two trees we purchased are more sticks then trees, the one we planted in front seems to be doing well. We even have blooms! Hoping to see some apples in 2 or 3 years from this one.

Going to have to get a shot of these side by side.. Raegan is almost TWO years older then Kael, and her hand is half the size... These are some of the awesome keepsakes the preschool made for the parents at the Spring Tea. LOVE!
