* Matt wordlessly tucking his icepack under my arm in the wee hours of the morning when my milk-boobs start to hurt

We had Raegans first parent teacher conference last week.... with the substitute. Who'd only been there a week. But according to the paper checklist of things the kids are tested on, Raegan is a genius, what with her "early" reading and math skillz. I knew that. Also, she is a "delight" to have in the classroom with her supremely cheerful disposition. Again, I knew that. But I still swelled up like....oh wait... well I was just darn full of pride to hear it from someone else!

Sunshine and Roses

Raegan requested a sunshine cake for her birthday party this past Thursday at Pappy's Pizza... and this is what we got.

Looks quite a bit less like a sunshine ( that was requested) and seems to be the creepy pervy cousin to the Wal*Mart rollback face....

In the end it didn't matter, all the kids ended up fighting over who got to eat the giant frosting mounds that make up the eyes!
