Big Pile of Fun in a Little Pile of Snow
We tromped off to the cousins' house today to take advantage of their little yard hill, and the kids all got in some time on the sleds.. OH what FUN those kids had! The dads all piled up the remaining yard snow into a strip and we spent a good couple of hours tossing the kids down it. Then we moved in on the family and managed to weasel ourselves some dinner and Blokus wins.. yes, I said wins. Kicked arse. Anyhoodle, it was a fun day!.

Calorie Counter
Slow day stuck inside turned into SNOW day and out in the cold when we suddenly got three inches of powder dumped on our little corner of the world. Pictures ended when I came up with the brilliant idea to tie Muppets leashes to the kids sleds and drag them up and down the street a bajillion times, which was both fun AND tiring for the whole fam-damily. Kids taking a late couch rest now after a fantastic cup of white chocolate cocoa, thanks to the new Keurig. Thank gawd.

The Eve Event
Dinner with the Fieros, kids all played out, we finished up the evening with a trip through Eagle Crest to see all the lights, and off to bed the munchkins went! Matt and I then set up and wrapped last minute gifts, brought out the squeeker, and documented our Christmas Eve.
Name suggestions? On the list now are: Talula (tuh-loo-luh), cutie pie (um... nope), Trouble, Sam, Cuddle, Peanut Butter (pb?), Bubba, and Santa Clause. We're running out of ideas.

A Taste of Things to Come
~ Sigh~ I had two lousy ornaments this year that I got at our Christmas exchange that were nice. Cool to look at, grown up, and most importantly, breakable. So they went to the top of the tree, the rest of our decor being plastic. And dang it all if my little monster son didn't dump the tree over, making my safe-at-the-top ornaments hit the slate at the entrance. I've got a boy. I need to come to grips with the fact that right now, I just can't have nice things. Gah.

Santa and the live Reindeer at the farm? Cheesy as all get-out. Random girl in our family holiday photo? What's that all about?! Oh well, it was an overpriced way for the kids to get close to a Reindeer and to request their Christmas kitten wish ( Rae really wants a fluffy grey one, I had planned on an orange one.. what to do, what to do.)
