Interpretive Art
Raegan will color all day if I let her. She has progressed through some really interesting stages, but this newest one may be my favorite.. .she went from drawing easily recognisable shapes and scenes to...... this. Abstract interpretive art as seen by a four year old. She told me all the labels for this piece of work, and I absolutely love how her imagination is blooming. Stars. Then stars looking different when the world is moving. And not just a unicorn... but a unicorn in a beautiful long purple dress. And a black moon. And a shooting star. I love this artistic side of her so maybe I'll just let her color all day, after all!

Useless Knowledge
In old Siam (today’s Thailand), white elephants were so rare that they were automatically the property of the emperor. To punish people, the emperor would give them a white elephant, because while they had to care for it, they were forbidden to ride or work it. Hence, the modern term for something totally useless: a white elephant.
Topics, Please!
Well, if I'm going to click-whore this blog and those Google ads ( wrinkle cream? Is google in my bathroom??!!) to all of my friends and family, I'd better get some decent content posted as a reward ( ha ha, my writing, a reward!!! tee hee!) for your clicking services....
So here's what I'd like. Topics!
It's off to the comment section with you!

At least I got these shots!
I forgot my camera memory card ( stupid stupid stupid) when our little family went to Miss Paytons third birthday party, but luckily I had my cheapo still/video digital with me! I managed to get these of Kael riding around on the horse, which I love. Raegan and I also took our turn riding around the arena and even got into a trot for a bit, which was awesome. But again; no memory card. Gah.

Rite of Passage Milestone
Today, Kael became a little man. After learning that park bathrooms were closed for the winter, Kael and daddy trekked off into the wilderness to take care of business. Today, he learned to pee standing up.
And now he's peeing in the yard. Sweet.

Dammit.
This is Raegans arm. She has a matching one on the other side. And two matching legs.
Muppet.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. He's not *biting* her, but rather "catching" her with his mouth, in play. She is just so little and twitchy and flighty, her every movement invites "play" from him. I've tried smacking him, pinching his mouth shut, keeping him leashed ( although the second he gets off the leash he goes after her) and even keeping him outside more.. nothing is helping. And he's tall enough now that her shoulders and face are starting to get within reach. Muzzle? Is a muzzle appropriate for this? If so, what's the appropriate way to use it?I'm just hitting a brick wall. I do NOT want to give up on this dog, but her arms and legs.......... it's just killing me seeing her all beat up like this. I didn't have any issues like this with Cloe or Lola, so I have no idea how to treat it.
What do I do?

Sneek
1. Whenever we drive over train tracks, we all throw our hands up in the air and scream WOO HOO. Every time. Yes, we also do the "hold your breath" thing while driving in a tunnel.
2. Peep. Not pee or pee-pee. Peep. Even the grown-ups around here announce a peep break now. Fancy.
3. Just for Now ( Imogen Heap) and One Night In Bangkok ( Lost remix) are both triggers for immediate singing and dancing. Every time.
4. It makes me just stupid-happy to have the only kids on the street dancing the entire time any and all parades are going by. My kids hear music? They dance. Also, that gets them tons of candy.
5. It's no fun going to the gym unless I've got my I-Pod loaded. It's no fun having my I-Pod loaded unless it's set to as loud as it can get. Result? I kind of think I might have a wee bit of hearing loss in my right ear. Been hitting the gym a lot lately.

A Whole Lot of Nothin'
I realize that this means nothing to you. There is no *real* value in the above picture, I mean what do you see? Nothing. But today, it's what you *don't* see that is of the most importance. What you don't see? Are diapers.

Get Off the Damn Computer!
So I got out the sewing machine instead. Tomorrow I find my good scissors and an iron. But for tossing together and re-purposing my flat iron in a most unusual way, I think it turned out cute! ( it's kind of a bubble dress, but ended up a bit bigger then my model. note:measure)

Guilty Admission
I love Raegans hair post-braid-removal and if it weren't horribly bad for her (and a wee bit abusive? lol) I'd totally take her in and get her a perm.
