Oh No. *EDIT**

Chloe is gone.

We suspect foul play. I let her out around 6:45 last night and when Matt went to let her in at 7:30 or so she was gone. The gate open. We only open that gate on Monday to move the garbage cans from the street.. so I don't see how it could be safely locked all week then on Friday mysteriously open itself.
I don't know what's worse.. thinking someone stole her from our yard and she is now living in THEIR home, or thinking she somehow managed to get out and she spend last night.. a cold night.. by herself out there with the roads and cars and traffic and coyotes.

I walked the neighborhood calling her till around 10:30

This morning on the way to work Matt posted "Lost Dog" signs and the kids and I are going to walk the neighborhood again this morning putting up more signs.

I'll call the pound when it opens.

I just feel horrible. While my affection towards the pups has definately taken a downward turn since the kids got here, I still love them to pieces. Lola has been beside herself.. doesn't know where to sleep, where to go potty... her best friend is gone. Raegan keeps asking where her Ko-EE is. No familliar warm lump in bed with my feet this morning.

Wish us luck.

*She's here! She's home! Friendly neighbor one street up found her last night and kept her all snug and warm in her house till they found one of our flyers this morning. Lola is SO HAPPY!! Chloe, on the other hand, wants to go home with the neighbor. Better food there apparently. *

Oh GEEEZ! So glad she's home! Wonder what happened with the door, and why Lola didn't escape as well!

I know! Those two are two peas.... Lola was hanging out by the door.. so maybe Chole escaped without her on purpose? Needed a Lola break perhaps? I sure do appreciate them so much more now though. I kept thinking "how will I know if we have an intruder??? Lola only barks because Chloe does!"

Wow, I'm glad you guys found her. That's terrible when you can't find a pet, they're practically your kids too, I don't know what I'd do if we lost one of ours. Glad she's home. :)
