Kael had his 2 week ( and 2 days) checkup yesterday.......
9 pounds 8 ounces
22 inches
MY GOODNESS! That is a full pound and 3 ounces heavier and one inch taller then his birth size! This puts him firmly in the 90th percentile for size.. Gonna have me a big boy! This is all rather impressive to me as he was down to 7 pounds 12 ounces on the Monday after his birth.. normal to lose some weight at first but it took a little longer then usual for the milk factory to start production so he was down a few 0unces more then normal.
Anyway,I got HUGE pats on the back from his doctor which was very nice. Made those many painful first hours spent feeding the Little Man all worthwhile. And after the huge 50 minute long production Raegan put on in the waiting room before the appointment it was nice to have some sort of reaffirmation that I was doing SOMETHING right.
You'd think people had never seen a temper tantrum before.

Oh, you should have seen the doozy of a tantrum we saw!! From Los Cabos to SanDiego. We nearly cheered when the family got off in San Diego. We had been afraid that they would continue to Seattle with us. Flopping down in the walkway, kicking so hard his shoes flew off, running screaming from his parents through the security area/XRay area. Tons o fun. But he was older (old 2 or maybe 3 years old).
Ugh. We are getting to that stage. Just Ugh. Nothing you can do about them.. that's what sucks! I may be even more of a hermit for the next year or so if I can't get her to behave in public. Of course, we have us a mixture of "terrible twos" and "I hate my brother" all rolled up into one so maybe when she gets used to the whole brother idea the terrible twos won't be so terrible? One can hope.
Yeh leave that pipe dream of staying at home until they can behave better behind. Otherwise you are never going out in public until they graduate .... from college.
Have you tried bribery? I know that it is not the "best" thing but I do know it to be terribly effective!
Oh and it works on husbands too! :)
