The Weenies
My pups are weenies in every sense of the word. If it rains out side they sit on the other side of the door shivering pathetically. Horrible mother. Windy? Stuff blowing around is just scary! When we lived by the beach, walking in the water was SUCH a chore! They would pick up their feet and wiggle them "what is this crap all over my foot??". Very prissy sissy dogs. So what do they do when it dumps piles of snow on our yard? Why, dive right in, of course! They LOVE it.. have spent more time playing outside in the last 2 days then they have wanted to in the last week.. for some reason, that white stuff that is almost taller then they are is just WAY FUN!!
Stupid dogs.

Ticker, anyone?
I have recently become somewhat obsessed with tickers.. as you can plainly see.. So I'm trying them out to see which ones I like the best. You can expect your e-mails from me to be just a little slower from now on.... YEP, adding a ticker. Fun Fun! SO, a Poll... which ones do you think I should get rid of?

A Thanksgivin' Day
We started out our Thanksgiving playing in a box... it WAS full of tiny baby toys, but we all thought it would be funner to spread those all over the house, drag the box around behind us, and finally climb in while Dad scooted us around making train noises..... which Raegan now copies. ( Notice the HUGE and PAINFUL molars coming in... WAY before all the other teeth in between are ready..)
I Give You... The BIRD!!
The Worlds Tastiest Turky, a profile. I somehow got lucky and this bird turned out SO WELL!!! It was rediculiously jucy throughout.. even the white meat on the top! And SEASONED!... and note the stuffing falling out of all crevices.. I lifted up the skin by the legs there and also loosed it all around the neck so that I could over stuff... as stuffing is probably my favorite part!

Alas, no Ultrasound
Doc said he didn't feel we needed another ulstrasound today after all! We DID get a great, LOUD heartbeat of the little one, (161bpm) and s/he was sure wiggling around a lot!
No worries on that, though.. in just 8 short weeks, we will be getting THE ultrasound.. the BIG one... and I plan to tease those that care as long as possible about who we are having.
A question for debate, though.. Raegan won't be ready to leave her crib when the little one gets here. She is a tosser-n-turner, and I can't see her calming her sleep habits down any time soon.. SO.. should we plan on buying another crib.... or get a portable basinette to keep in our room till the wee one grows out of it, and re-evaluate Raegans readiness for a toddler bed then? I have been playing around with registries already ( yes, I know it's early, but that is just FUN) and have added both a great convertable crib and a wonderful and easily rolled around the house basinette. Where should we put out pennies? The wee one will probably spend a long while sleeping with us/ in our room anyway, so we thought the basinette would be good... But why waste the money on something that will only be used for a few months? But if we get the crib, what will baby sleep in in our room when s/he isn't in bed with us? ( honestly, this will only be like 2 hours a nite.. but i digress....)
Opinions welcome!

Update on the Merritt Bean
What your baby's up to:
Your babies organ systems are now all fully functioning and he has a skeleton, nerves and blood circulation. Your baby has tiny feet that are fully formed and shaped and could stand on an adult's fingernail. Because the most critical part of baby’s development is now over, most birth defects will have already set in you baby's body. The remainder of the pregnancy for your baby will be about rapid growth, organ maturation and getting ready for delivery. Your baby is actually growing so quickly now that he will start out this week being approximately 21 - 25 mm or 0.85 - 1.0 inches and by the end of the week will have doubled that and be approximately 44 - 51 mm or 1.75 - 2.0 inches and weight approximately 7 grams! Your baby's head is still about 1/2 of his body length, and will remain this way for a while.
** We will see if this is accurate as far as size goes. I'm going in for another check-up tomorow and we will get another ultrasound! Yeah!**

Things to Do
I got to thinking about goals, etc.. and some of what I want to have accomplished by the time I'm sleepin' with the fishes. Below is an abbreviated list, for your viewing pleasure:
- Go to Europe with my husband and eat our way through several countries.
- Hold my grandbaby (not until his/her parents are old enough to have him/her).
- Travel in a motor home for a week...just because.
- See my children truely hug, without me prompting them.
- Go to Hollywood and see all the trashy touristy places with my family.
- Have a 25th Anniversary Party
- Ride around town on a Harley, in leather chaps and a vest... with FRINGE.
- Have a 2nd home on a lake or with a pool.
- Spend a week in Italy with my hubby and drink our way through several wineries.
- Learn to make one REALLY good cooked-from-scratch dessert.
- Have a spa weekend with my buddies.
- Find a comfortable bike seat and learn to enjoy biking ( could be ammended to enjoying ANY form of exercise)
- Play Peanuckle (sp) (What's up with that game?! Everybody plays it except me!)
- Go reef diving.
- Do something meaningful and worthwhile for someone less fortunate.
- Go on a totally goofy vacation with my family.. DisneyWorld, Disney cruise, Disney Island... 10 days at least.
- Swim with dolphins.
- Ride a camel to the Egyptian Pyramids
- Earn myself the body of a Goddess.. or at least a belly that doesn't fold when I sit.
- Learn to ballroom dance.
- Make sure that everyone that I love, knows how much I love them.
Now this is just the short list. Is subject to substitution... like if I'm 90 and never made it to Egypt, don't be surprised to see my spry little body hop on the nearest Lama and just head for the oldest building in the area...

NEW POLL
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the issue.. I myself am Pro-Life ( with the exception of life threatening issues with Mom, Rape, or Incest). But doesn't that make me a little of both?

A Visit With The Pah-Pah
We had a great visit with Papa, Cynthia and Alexsandra this weekend.. full of meals out and tickle-tackles. Raegan took no time at all warming up to her PaPa! Matt spent most of the week before quizzing her.. "Say Papa! Say Papa!" and she had it down, pat... until her PaPa actually visited. She clammed right up, and of couse resumed her "Pah-Pah" as soon as he left. Maybe next time, huh?
