I made the stripe picture in the paint program and posted it to my blog...then when you double click on the "picture" there is a web address in the address bar.. Copy that address. Then, in your blog, go to change settings. Click on Template. that window that appears, that is all HTML. I went to "Pick New" and chose the first blog background option..DOTS.
OK, when you chose it, you will be taken back to that page that has the HTML. Scroll down until you find, in (parenthesis) a web address for the current dot theme. delete that web address and paste the one you copied from the "picture" you posted on your blog... scroll down and do it again when you see that web address again. Then, you will see, after that web address the words " no-repeat. I deleted the no- part so it says repeat. that makes the pattern keep going the length of the blog. you can preview the changes as you go. Then I changed the color codes for the headlines.. I like mauve 967.. and changed the orientation, align left. You will see all that code there, just keep scrolling down. I tried doing it with a picture of Raegan, but it didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. If you want you can call me and I'll talk you through it. It's pretty easy.

How did you get that funky background? It isn't an option on the settings tab....
